Technical notes: a typical Piedmontese black grape variety, it produces medium-large bunches with medium-large grapes.
Maximum permitted production 90 Q per hectare, the grapes come from the estate's own vineyards located in the municipality of CISTERNA D'ASTI, it is the wine that best expresses the Piedmontese peasant personality: it is rough at first impact but, for those who understand it, it is endowed with great heart and generosity.
Remarkable body and important acid structure, intense ruby red colour, always vinous bouquet are the main characteristics that allow this wine great ductility: it can be both a meal wine and a wine for long ageing. It is aged for three years in 500 litre wooden barrels.

Taste: powerful, broad and persuasive. Immediate notes of red berries, plum, cherry, currant followed by fine woods and spices. Very soft and savoury The great structure, the important alcohol content, the perfectly polished tannins confirm that this is a great wine.
Pairing: First courses with elaborate sauces, second courses in general, excellent with grilled meat.
