A red wine from the upper Montefeltro area... the "Massa Trabaria".
After a passage of about 6 months in wooden barrels, this Sangiovese-based wine is ready.
Fragrant and bouquet goes well with traditional dishes.
Genuine and sincere, it is the right wine for the whole meal, but also for more demanding courses.
Winemaking and ageing: The red Sangiovese and Alicante grapes, and a small number of other varieties, are destemmed into whole berries and fermented in stainless steel containers for about 3 weeks. Racking and maturation take place in small, used wooden barrels for about 12 months. This is followed by cold decanting and bottling without filtration.
Grapes: Sangiovese clones, Alicante.
Colour: Bright ruby red.
Bouquet: Of small berries, redcurrants first and foremost.
Flavour: Dry, fresh with pleasant, balanced tannins.
Serving: Tulip-shaped goblets or similar at 18°.
Pairings: Egg pasta dishes, white meat main courses, grilled pork.
