Alpi Retiche IGT Il President Wine (Rose Muscat)

Sondrio July 2003, during an institutional dinner at the Prefecture, President Ciampi with his wife Franca taste a very young Moscato Rosa being tested and, they fall in love with it. Seven years after its debut in the company, the wine was offered to the general public in a limited edition. The President's Wine comes from a careful selection of dried Moscato Rosa grapes grown in our high vineyards of "Gatta" in Bianzone. The wine is a full-bodied raisin wine with a fair residual sugar, very concentrated, with typically varietal aromas, especially but not only floral, a long taste-olfactory persistence and a great structure supported by an enviable freshness. Excellent and pleasant dessert wine to pair with sweet preparations in which fruit, jam and chocolate are present.

TASTING NOTES: Wine of deep red color, fresh floral, with strong hints of rose petals, heady on the nose with a fruity, pleasant and harmonious flavor
