For La Gatta Reserve we select only the best grapes from our vineyards. Harvesting is done as late as possible to allow the grapes to reach perfect ripeness. The strong temperature swings that occur in Valtellina between day and night in early November give the wine particularly intense, broad and delicate aromas. The wine's complexity comes from the rich extracts, noble tannins and anthocyanins that the grapes yield to this extraordinary product. Most of the Riserva matures for years in large oak barrels, while a third of the production is stored in small barrels. The end result is a wine with complex, intense and delicate aromas. On the palate it is savory, round and extraordinarily elegant, with remarkable balance and harmony, capable of showing all the great peculiarities of our mountain Nebbiolo.
